I'm Allergic

Check out this New York Times article.

Say what?  A lot of the food allergies people claim are either misinterpretations of what their docs said -- or outright misdiagnoses?

How could this be?

The next thing is they'll be telling me that many of the folks who claim allergies to my dogs are just people with phobias and other psychiatric malfunctions who're just using the suffering that people with real allergies have to live with -- often on a daily basis -- as a screen for their own need to control others!

Go figure.

My husband professes to be horribly allergic to cats. In an odd bit of congruence - he also happens to detest them.

Lucky for him the affliction has not caused him to react adversely (in either way) to dogs!

Oh Ken ... My brother's sister-in-law is married to this guy:

I am barely able to be civil around Mr. Stick Up His Ass -- and so I am rarely allowed by family in his company. He is "drug free" and so he won't even try to manage his claims of allergies with so such as a Benadryl to allow my brother's family to not board their dog when he visits.

Oh yeah, that would so happen here. NOT.

He also has -- and I know this will shock you not -- extremely precise and restricted dietary "requirements."
